Bambasi Prod is an independent audiovisual production committed to develop long-term projects on societal issues. Behind Bambasi Prod, a young and dynamic team of writers and directors eager to tell stories that are close to their heart exploring new formats and new languages.
Bambasi Prod wish is to support its development based on new media. Freeing itself from the constraints of linear narrative, new media and especially the webdoc are an excellent mean to tell stories differently, to explore new contexts and new languages.
"The Valley of the Queens" about the relationship between water and women conditions of living along the Nile river, from Uganda to Egypt through Ethiopia, is a unique web documentary that seeks to combine creativity, content and interactive experience.

Being aligned with "Expériences Interactives" and "Serious Game" funds, the Pôle Images Nord-Pas de Calais in 2012 brought together these two funds and supported three themes: Serious Game, Audiovisual and Crossmedia and Culture & Technology. CRRAV and Pôle Images merged in December 2012 to become Pictanovo: Nord-Pas de Calais image players community. This structure now manages "Expériences Interactives" funds. With the support of funders, in 2013, Pictanovo canned three thematic "Serious Game", "Audiovisual and Transmedia", "Artistic and Cultural Facilities Mediation" and set up two sessions of selection (in May and October) for each theme. The main objectives is to support innovation in the field of works and interactive services based on images, to help the production of prototypes or works and to experiment and test new uses.
Estim-Numérique co-production grants, "Programme Investissement d’Avenir" (PIA) winner project, aims to stimulate the creation of audiovisual and multimedia scientific literacy in French language and to broaden the dissemination to the general public, thanks to their availability to all CSTI professionals (scientific, technical and industrial culture). The total funding budget of € 3.4 million, is spread over the projects selected by a jury of professionals in the audiovisual, multimedia and scientific culture, in 4 calls for proposals. Winning projects fit into the thematic fields of: Science, Technology, Environment, Health, Art-Science-Technology. Projects are aimed primarily at young people from 12 to 25 years old, but do not exclude any category of audience.

In 2012, the AFD allocated nearly € 7 billion to finance aid activities in developing countries and in French Overseas Departments and Territories. It will help to send 10 million children to school at the primary level and 3 million at a college level. It will also help to improve the supply of drinking water for 1.79 million people. Energy efficiency projects in the same year will save around 3.6 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year.
